Interstate removals
Interstate removals from Melbourne
Your own truck, loaded by the owner, taken straight to your new home and unloaded by the same crew. One fixed price, agreed before the move.
Moving interstate
One truck, one move, straight there.
An interstate move has a lot riding on the days between your old home and your new one, so we keep those days simple. Your move gets its own truck, and no other customer’s job is added on the way. We load your things, leave straight for the unload, and the same crew that loaded the truck unloads it at the other end.
Moving Folks is a Melbourne removalist, and it’s owner-operated: the owner loads every job personally, with care and precision. We move households from Melbourne and Victoria to New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia and Western Australia, and every one of those moves is a dedicated move. We don’t move to Tasmania. We can come out to check your furniture and the access, or you can send photos of your furniture and both full addresses instead. Whichever you choose, you get one fixed price before the move.

Your own truck, with no other jobs on the way
Every interstate move gets a dedicated truck. Some interstate movers share one truck between several customers’ jobs. We don’t. Because nothing else is added on the way, there are no detours, no waiting days and no hotel nights spent waiting for your furniture. We load your job and leave straight for the unload. From Melbourne to Brisbane, that means you’ll have your things in about 2 days. To Sydney, Adelaide or Perth, delivery simply takes as long as the drive. Wherever you’re moving, we can share the truck’s live location so you can follow it the whole way.
The same crew at both ends
The crew that loads your truck is the crew that unloads it. We don’t send one person with the truck and hire helpers for a few hours at the other end. One crew is responsible from start to finish, so if an insurance claim is ever needed, there’s no argument over who handled what. We’ll also share all our insurance documents with you. Whoever you book, ask to see theirs first.
A 12-tonne truck with room for a full house
Our interstate truck is a 12-tonne truck with about 48 cubic metres of space, so a typical full house fits comfortably. If you need your things stored for a couple of days before delivery, we can organise that, because we have a few trucks.
One fixed price, once we’ve seen it
If you’re moving from Melbourne or anywhere in Victoria, you choose how we price it: we come out to check everything that’s moving and the access, or you send photos of your furniture with both full addresses. For a move into Victoria from New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia or Western Australia, the price comes from photos of your furniture and both full addresses. Either way, it’s one fixed price, agreed before the move. Dismantling and reassembly are available on request and quoted separately. We also supply moving boxes at a good price.
