Removalists in Box Hill
Tower apartments, units and 1920s bungalows in Box Hill, Victoria, moved for one fixed price, with the lift, the dock and the parking planned first.
Melbourne’s east
Towers, units and bungalows.
At the 2021 Census just over half of Box Hill’s homes were flats or apartments, just over half of all homes had two bedrooms, and close to six in ten were rented. That makes plenty of Box Hill moves apartment-sized and timed around a lease ending. The older streets, meanwhile, still hold 1920s timber bungalows that move very differently from a tower. So when you book removalists in Box Hill, the plan depends on which kind of home you’re in. The suburb is 14 km east of the CBD in the City of Whitehorse, with a cluster of high-rise apartment towers in its centre.
Box Hill is part of our all-Melbourne coverage, and we move there 7 days a week, weekends and public holidays included. You get one fixed price agreed before the move, and there’s no hourly meter while we wait for a lift.
- ✓Apartment towers: lift, dock & time slot planned

Moving in or out of an apartment tower
Before we quote a tower move, check with your building manager. Is there a goods lift, and does it need protective padding? How do you book the loading dock, and for what time slot? Is there a height limit for vehicles in the dock? Send us those answers with both full addresses and we plan the move around your booking. Every building sets its own rules, so the building manager has the final word.
Bungalows on the older streets
Box Hill grew mainly after the First World War. Whitehorse has large numbers of Californian bungalows from its 1920s growth, and the Alexander Street heritage precinct (the former Queen’s Park Estate) is mostly single-storey timber houses from that decade. Verandahs, front steps and older timber floors mean we blanket-wrap furniture and protect the floors and doorways as we go.
Parking and the Suburban Rail Loop works
Paid parking can apply around central Box Hill and the hospital precinct. Suburban Rail Loop construction in central Box Hill also closes lanes and parking spaces from time to time, so check the current disruptions on Victoria’s Big Build website (bigbuild.vic.gov.au) near your date, and tell us if your street is affected. Whitehorse Council requires a permit for vehicles over 7.5 m or 4.5 t to park on a residential street for more than an hour, and says those permits are not generally given in residential streets. Send us both full addresses, and we check the streets and truck parking online and plan how long loading will take.
